FIVE SAFFAS ‘IN THE MONEY’ AT NEW PIER

DURBAN, South Africa (Tuesday, 3 July, 2007) – A potent international field took it’s toll on the South African contingent competing in the Men’s Round of 144, at the 6-Star ASP World Qualifying Series Mr Price Pro today, with just five of the 18 Saffas competing, advancing into the Round of 96.

PAYNE TAKES CHARGE ON DAY ONE OF THE MR PRICE PRO

DURBAN, South Africa (Monday, 2 July, 2007) – Excellent 1-meter waves, fanned by light offshore winds, heralded the start to Round 1 of the 6-Star ASP World Qualifying Series Mr Price Pro, which saw 22-year-old Shaun Payne (St Francis Bay) fly off the start blocks with the highest scores of the event so far.


 





An interview with Mr Price Pro Junior winner Klee Strachan

18-year old Klee Strachan took out the Mr Pice Pro Junior in fine form yesterday, catching the most waves in the heat and rising above a strong contingent of our country``s top juniors to claim the R4000 cheque and the honour of being seeded directly into the Round of 144 in the main event later this week. Craig Ritchie caught up with the powerful natural footer for a quick chat after his win.
