MR PRICE PRO BALLITO UNDERWAY IN CLEAN CONDITIONS

Clean, one-meter waves are on offer at Willard’s Beach, Ballito this morning that will see Round of 96 of the ASP Prime Mr Price Pro Ballito underway at 07H15 (local time).

First heat in the water sees ASP World No. 15 Tiago Pires (POR) take on former elite tour campaigner Yuri Sodre (BRA), European Champion Gony Zubizarreta (ESP) and Chad Du Toit (ZAF) in Heat 1.

The day promises an action packed lineup featuring some of the biggest names in professional surfing.

Heats to watch out for include Heat 12 featuring the event’s top seed and current ASP World No. 4 Adriano De Souza (BRA) who takes on former ASP World Junior Champion Marc Lacomare (FRA), Lincoln Taylor (AUS) and qualifying trialist David Weare (ZAF).

Former Mr Price Pro Champion and current ASP World No. 8 Jordy Smith (ZAF) will take on Kai Barger (HAW), Alain Riou (PYF) and trials winner Michael February (ZAF) in Heat 13. 

The Mr Price Pro Ballito is the biggest event in Africa featuring 96 surfers from 19 countries across the globe.
